Hello and welcome to Cardiff Open. We’re especially excited to launch this term’s programme as it will be the first to run at our new home at the University’s Llandaff Campus and thanks to the move we’ve been able to extend what we offer.
We’re running our core programme again a range of Painting, Drawing, Life Drawing, Photography and Pottery classes but we’re now offering a wider range of short courses too in the evenings and at weekends. For example, Sarah Edmonds’ Introduction to Illustration, Lino Printmaking and Creative Collage proved so popular that we’re really pleased she’ll be running them again and new ones including Map Making have been added too.
We’re pleased to welcome Camilla Nelson to the Cardiff Open team to run a five session Easy Ways Into Poetry – a poetry writing for beginners workshop and Ben Ewart-Dean will be running a five session Introduction to Film History course. Fab Lab Manager Martijn Gommeren will be offering a short InDesign course too.
It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced artist, are preparing a portfolio to apply for an art, design, architecture or creative industries course or if you’ve never picked up a pencil before, we’ve got something to offer you so the courses and workshops are a great way of trying out a new skills or for further developing your expertise.
